1. Competition format has an ‘F.A. Cup’ style!
2. Stronger players enter the competition in later rounds
3. The draw for each round (apart from some seeded players) is made after the previous round is complete – so you cannot be certain of your path to the final!
4. Each round takes a number of weeks. It is up to the players to arrange a convenient time for their match. The designated ‘Lead Player’ has primary responsibility for suggesting some dates.
5. Everyone who loses their first match, will be entered into the Plate competition.
6. Eight players from the Qualifying Competition will be entered into the Main Draw.
7. Qualifying Competition matches and Plate matches (both are traditional scoring) can double up as internal League matches, if you happen to be in the same division and both players agree. Main Draw matches (PAR scoring) cannot.
